“Hola, soy Mariska Hargitay y estoy feliz de ser su host (anfitriona) esta noche (…) Soy la primera mujer en conducir los Emmy en 15 años“, dijo la actriz y productora a las 21.03 de este lunes para dar por inaugurada la 78a edición de los premios de la Academia de Televisión de los Estados Unidos, que distinguen lo mejor de la TV y el streaming.
La gala se realiza en el Peacock Theater de Los Ángeles y premia a las producciones estrenadas entre el 1 de junio de 2025 y el 31 de mayo de este año.
Entre las grandes protagonistas de esta edición se encuentra la serie The Pitt, que llega como la producción más nominada, con 25 candidaturas, seguida de cerca por Hacks, con 24. Ambas buscarán convertir ese favoritismo en estatuillas.
Los galardones se reparten entre las categorías de drama, comedia y miniserie, además de reconocer el trabajo de actores, directores, guionistas y otros profesionales de la industria. La entrega reune, como cada año, a algunas de las figuras más importantes de Hollywood.
Tras el discurso de Hargitay, que fue ovacionada de pie por toda la sala, a las 21.09 se develó el primer misterio, el de la categoría Mejor actriz de reparto de una serie decomedia.
